ReedDriver (“we”, “us”, “our”) provides rider and driver apps and the website at www.reeddriver.com. This policy explains what personal information we collect, why we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email [email protected].

1. Who this applies to

This policy covers people who use the ReedDriver rider app, driver app, school-run features, website, or related support channels.

2. Information we collect

• Account details: name, mobile number, email address, country, and profile information you provide.
• Sign-in data: if you use Google or Facebook, we receive the name, email, and profile identifiers those services share with us.
• Location: precise or approximate location while you use the apps, so we can match trips, show pickup points, and support school-run handoffs.
• Trip and school-run data: pickup and drop-off addresses, vehicle type, fare estimates, trip status, chat or call metadata, child profiles and schedules you create, and guardian handoff events.
• Payments: payment method type, wallet activity, and transaction references. Card or mobile-money details are processed by the payment provider, not stored in full by ReedDriver.
• Device and usage: app version, device type, diagnostics, and support tickets.
• Driver verification: documents and photos drivers upload for onboarding and safety checks.
• Driver applications on the website: if you apply at www.reeddriver.com/drive, the details you enter (name, email, mobile number, city, vehicle class, referral code), how you found the page (for example a WhatsApp or Facebook link or a QR code), and whether you agreed to marketing emails.

3. How we use information

• Create and secure your account, including sending verification codes.
• Match riders and drivers, calculate fares, and operate school runs.
• Show maps, live trip updates, and safety features such as trip sharing.
• Process payments, wallet top-ups, referrals, and customer support.
• Meet legal, safety, and fraud-prevention requirements.
• Improve the service and communicate important account or trip notices.
• Review driver applications, tell applicants when Reed launches in their city, and measure which channels bring in drivers. We send driver news and offers only if you opted in, and you can opt out at any time.

4. Who we share information with

We share only what is needed to run the service:

• Drivers or riders on an active trip (name, pickup details, and trip context).
• Service providers that host or process data for us, including authentication, maps, messaging, and payments (for example Google, Meta/Facebook for social login, mapping providers, and our cloud/database providers).
• Authorities when the law requires it, or to protect users’ safety.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Legal basis and your rights

We process information to perform the transport service you request, to operate our contract with you, with your consent (for example location or marketing where required), and where we have a legitimate interest in running a safe platform. Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict your information, or to object to certain processing. Contact [email protected] to use those rights.

6. Retention and security

We keep account and trip records for as long as your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards for safety, disputes, and legal obligations. We use access controls, encryption in transit, and similar measures to protect data. No method of transmission is completely secure.

Deleting your account

You can delete your Reed or Reed Driver account at any time, in the app (Reed: Profile → Delete account; Reed Driver: Settings → Manage account → Delete account) or on the web at www.reeddriver.com/account/delete. Deletion removes your name, contact details, photo, login, push tokens, location and saved settings straight away. We keep completed trip, payment and commission records for up to 7 years, and safety reports and driver verification documents for up to 3 years, without your name or contact details, where tax, fraud-prevention or safety rules require it. Then they are deleted.

A driver application started on the website belongs to the same account, so deleting the account also withdraws the application.

7. Children

The rider and driver apps are for adults. School-run child profiles are created by a parent or guardian. We do not knowingly create independent accounts for children.

8. International transfers

Our apps, website, and some providers may process data outside your country. We use those providers only to operate ReedDriver.

9. Changes

We may update this policy. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of ReedDriver after an update means you accept the revised policy.
