Terms of Service

These terms govern your use of ReedDriver websites, rider apps, and driver apps. By creating an account or using ReedDriver you agree to them. If you do not agree, do not use the service. Questions: [email protected].

1. The service

ReedDriver is a technology platform that connects riders with drivers for on-demand trips and school-run transport. ReedDriver is not a taxi company and, except where the law says otherwise, does not itself provide the underlying transport. Drivers are independent operators using the platform.

2. Accounts

• You must provide accurate information and keep it up to date.
• You must be old enough to form a binding contract in your country. School-run child profiles may only be created by a parent or guardian.
• You are responsible for activity on your account, including OTP, Google, or Facebook sign-in.
• We may suspend or close accounts for fraud, safety risk, unpaid amounts, or breach of these terms.

3. Rides and school runs

• Fares shown in-app are estimates unless marked as confirmed. Final amounts may change with route, waiting time, vehicle type, or destination changes.
• You must treat drivers, riders, children, and guardians with respect and follow pickup and handoff instructions, including PINs where used.
• School-run plans, child details, and guardian permissions must be accurate. You are responsible for authorising the people listed on a child’s profile.
• ReedDriver may cancel a trip or school run for safety, no-show, weather, or operational reasons.

4. Drivers

Drivers must hold required licences and insurance, complete verification, and follow local transport rules. Approval to drive on ReedDriver can be withdrawn. Earnings shown in the app are subject to fees, adjustments, and applicable tax.

5. Payments

You authorise ReedDriver and its payment partners to charge the method you select (including wallet, card, or other supported methods). Promotions and referral credit have their own conditions and can be withdrawn if misused.

6. Acceptable use

You may not misuse the apps, scrape data, interfere with other users, request illegal transport, or use ReedDriver in a way that puts children or others at risk.

7. Location, maps, and communications

The apps need location permission to match trips. Maps are provided by third parties and may be imperfect. We may send service messages by in-app notice, SMS, WhatsApp, or email, including verification codes.

8. Privacy

How we handle personal information is described in our Privacy Policy.

9. Liability

Transport involves risk. To the fullest extent allowed by law, ReedDriver is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential loss, or for events outside our reasonable control. Nothing in these terms excludes liability that cannot be excluded by law, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence where that exclusion is not permitted.

10. Changes and law

We may update these terms. The date at the top will change when we do. Continued use after an update is acceptance of the new terms. These terms are governed by the laws of South Africa, and courts there have jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law says otherwise.
